I've been a coach for many years and love it. What i enjoy most is seeing the "coachee" move forward, have an "ah hah" moment. There's always something new to learn about myself, about people; what makes people"shift" in their thinking, overcome fear. That's where I'm at as i begin Teacher Training. I notice that I'm making excuses, about using technology and exposing my thoughts and feelings online. Look forward to sharing with and learning from others, having "ah hah" moments.

I REALLY understand that feeling. Having the "courage" (my word for the week) to try something new and then to follow thru. I looked at my assignments and started to come up with reasons I may not finish this or that. Enough that my daughters were telling me to "talk to Rhonda". My shift came when they said that and I thought "No way, I'm just going to do it and on top of that, do it well because I want this!!" I have broken down the assignments and just worked thru them. (This week w/o stress of getting it done).

Yes Jeanne, agree, "courage" is a great word. We know what to do. Just taking it on and figuring out how to make it work, get it done , AND, enjoy the process

Beautiful conversation, Amy and Jeanne!

It is lovely to see students/friends/loved ones experience their own AHA moments. But its oh so easy to get caught up in being invested in facilitating their moments - having your own sense of self worth as a teacher, as a partner, as a friend, depend upon those others in our lives "getting" what we want for them.

But there is no need for any of that when you can see clearly that each person has an Inner Being guiding them. And that Inner Being is all they need...same for you.

To me, being a teacher means sharing my heart because its just invigorating to me-- I know that and words dont teach and that my words may be relevant only to me) , and more powerfully, being able to SEE the completeness, the wholeness of the other person - to see them as their Inner Being sees them - and not to waiver from that view no matter how much they may falter.

Oh, we can all have fun with each other along the way - thats what "learning" is all about! - but no one needs you to teach them anything. Their Inner Being already knows the best path for each of us.

And then its such an honor and a pleasure to witness someone's AHA moments as their path unfolds...

But really the best part of being a teacher is for you: when you see someone as their Source sees them, you are literally seeing through the eyes of Source (or God if you prefer).

Now that's an AHA moment...

Just came back to this, months more into the teacher training. Today, as I completed my script video and multiple assignments, I said, I did it, out loud. So proud of how I've stretched, expressed myself in different ways. Rhonda, yes, have a better appreciation for what you said about being a ", teacher", and that my words may only be relevant to me.

...and being relevant to yourself is truly the only relevance that is...relevant!
